  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste.
For the Matcha Latte
  • 1 teaspoon matcha green tea powder Opt for ceremonial-grade matcha for a smoother taste.
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or any plant-based alternative) Coconut milk or oat milk are great choices as well.
  • Ice cubes Ice cubes (if making an iced version) Use as desired.
  • Optional: whipped cream or dairy-free whipped topping for garnish Optional for presentation.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a blender, add the sliced strawberries and honey or maple syrup.
  2. Blend until smooth to create a strawberry purée. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary. Set aside.
Mixing the Matcha
  1. In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with a few tablespoons of hot water until smooth and frothy.
  2. Add your choice of milk to the matcha mixture and heat it gently on the stovetop or use a milk frother if you like it frothy.
Assembling the Latte
  1. For an iced version, fill a glass with ice cubes and pour the strawberry purée into the glass first.
  2. Follow with the matcha-milk mixture.
  3. For a warm version, pour the strawberry purée into a mug followed by the matcha mixture.
  4. Give it a gentle stir to create a marbled effect but don’t overmix—it’s beautiful with layers!
  5. Top with whipped cream if desired.

Notes

Experiment with both hot and iced variations to find your favorite way to enjoy this latte. Consider adding vanilla extract or a splash of almond extract to elevate your flavor.
