Ingredients

Lemonade Base
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from about 4-6 lemons) Look for heavy lemons with smooth skin for the best juice yield.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Adjust based on your taste preference.
  • 4 cups cold water Adjust more or less according to your preferred strength.
Optional Garnishes
  • Ice cubes Essential for serving cold.
  • Lemon slices For garnish.
  • Fresh mint leaves Optional for added flavor.

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Juice the lemons until you have one cup of lemon juice using a citrus juicer.
  2. In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice and granulated sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved to create the lemonade concentrate.
  3. Pour in the cold water and mix well. Taste and adjust the sweetness by adding more water if necessary.
  4. Add plenty of ice cubes to the pitcher and stir again before serving.
  5. Serve in your favorite glasses with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves for extra flair.

Notes

Store any leftover lemonade in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. If made with club soda, serve fresh for the best taste as it may lose fizziness.
