Southern Peach Tea

Ingredients
  

Tea Base
  • 4 cups water For boiling
  • 4 bags black tea Use your favorite brand
  • ½ cup sugar Adjust to taste
Fruits
  • 2 cups fresh peaches Sliced; use ripe peaches for best flavor
Serving
  • Ice Ice For serving
  • Mint leaves Optional garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil the water in a medium-sized pot.
  2. Once boiling, remove the pot from heat and add in the black tea bags. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. While the tea is steeping, wash and slice your fresh peaches.
Combine and Chill
  1. After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar while the tea is still warm.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the warm tea and the sliced peaches. Stir gently.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator to chill for at least an hour.
Serve
  1. Fill glasses with ice and pour your chilled Southern Peach Tea over it.
  2. Garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

For variations, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or experimenting with other fruits such as raspberries. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
