Preparation
- Boil the water in a medium-sized pot.
- Once boiling, remove the pot from heat and add in the black tea bags. Let it steep for about 5 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, wash and slice your fresh peaches.
Combine and Chill
- After steeping, remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar while the tea is still warm.
- In a large pitcher, combine the warm tea and the sliced peaches. Stir gently.
- Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator to chill for at least an hour.
Serve
- Fill glasses with ice and pour your chilled Southern Peach Tea over it.
- Garnish with mint leaves if desired.
Notes
For variations, consider adding a splash of lemon juice or experimenting with other fruits such as raspberries. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
