Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and hull the strawberries, cutting them into halves or quarters.
  2. In a blender, combine halved strawberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and blend until smooth, leaving some chunks for texture.
Mixing
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, and vanilla extract until sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Gently fold the strawberry puree into the cream mixture until well combined.
Chilling and Freezing
  1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
  2. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or freezer-safe container. If using an ice cream maker, churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. If no ice cream maker, stir the mixture every 30 minutes for about 3-4 hours, until firm.
Serving
  1. Once the ice cream is at the perfect texture, scoop it into bowls and enjoy!

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Allow ice cream to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving for a smoother texture.
