Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and diced Choose ripe peaches for best flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries Look for fresh, ripe raspberries.
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Optional, adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Adds brightness to the flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by peeling and chopping your peaches. Place both the peaches and raspberries in a blender.
Blending
  1. Add the lemon juice and honey (if using) to the blender. Blend until you have a smooth purée.
Spreading
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the fruit purée onto the sheet, spreading it evenly into a thin layer, about 1/8 inch thick.
Dehydration
  1. Preheat your oven to the lowest setting (approximately 140°F or 60°C). Place the baking sheet in the oven and leave the door slightly ajar to allow moisture to escape. Dehydrate for 6-8 hours or until the fruit leather is dried and still slightly tacky.
Cooling and Cutting
  1. Once dried, remove the sheet from the oven. Let it cool completely before cutting into strips or squares.
Storage
  1. Roll the fruit leather in parchment paper and store in an airtight container. It will last up to a month!

Notes

Choose ripe fruits for optimal sweetness. Consider straining the blended mixture if a smoother texture is desired. You can also experiment with different fruits for varied flavors.
