Ingredients
  

Shrimp and Marinade
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined Choose fresh shrimp for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder Adjust for spice level.
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 Juice of 1 lime
Taco Assembly
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas Warm before use.
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Optional: salsa, sour cream, or your favorite hot sauce

Method
 

Preparing the Shrimp
  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and lime juice.
  2. Add the shrimp, ensuring they’re well-coated, and let marinate for 15–20 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Remove from heat.
Assembling the Tacos
  1. Lightly grill or heat tortillas in a skillet until soft and pliable.
  2. Start with a tortilla base, then layer with shredded cabbage or lettuce, cooked shrimp, avocado slices, and cilantro.
  3. Add salsa or other toppings as desired.
  4. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the tacos and serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

To enhance the experience, warm tortillas before filling. Customize spice levels according to taste. Prepare toppings ahead of time for efficiency.
