Ingredients

Burger Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey) Use ground beef with higher fat content for juicier burgers.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Burger buns
  • Toppings (lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.) Customize toppings as desired.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a patty that’s about 3/4 inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Check for doneness with a meat thermometer, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for ground beef or 165°F (74°C) for ground turkey.
  4. Toast the burger buns in the air fryer for the last 2-3 minutes to lightly toast them.
Assembly
  1. Remove the patties and buns from the air fryer. Place each burger on a bun and add your favorite toppings.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in Worcestershire sauce or mustard. Use quality ground meat for the best results.
