Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a patty that’s about 3/4 inch thick, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Check for doneness with a meat thermometer, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) for ground beef or 165°F (74°C) for ground turkey.
- Toast the burger buns in the air fryer for the last 2-3 minutes to lightly toast them.
Assembly
- Remove the patties and buns from the air fryer. Place each burger on a bun and add your favorite toppings.
Notes
For added flavor, consider mixing in Worcestershire sauce or mustard. Use quality ground meat for the best results.
