Batter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced peaches with sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon juice. Let sit for about 20 minutes.
Making the Batter
  1. In another bowl, combine the flour, milk, baking powder, salt, and melted butter. Stir until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the top without stirring.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  3. Allow the cobbler to cool for a few minutes before serving.
  4. Serve warm and, if desired, top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes
