  • 1 cup Crab or imitation crab, shredded Can substitute with shrimp, tofu, or smoked salmon.
  • 1 medium Avocado, sliced
  • 1 medium Cucumber, sliced
  • 2 cups Rice or cauliflower rice Use traditional sushi rice or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds For garnish.
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce For flavoring.
  • 2 tablespoons Pickled ginger Optional, but enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Wasabi Optional, for spice.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. If using rice, cook it according to package instructions. If using cauliflower rice, grate or pulse the cauliflower in a food processor and sauté briefly until tender.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, layer your rice (or cauliflower rice) as the base.
  2. Arrange slices of crab (or your protein of choice), avocado, and cucumber on top of the rice.
  3. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  4. Drizzle soy sauce over the entire bowl.
  5. Add pickled ginger and a dab of wasabi if desired.
  6. Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate for later enjoyment.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. Avoid overloading on soy sauce to let the ingredients shine. This dish is perfect for meal prep.
